Pure Environment is seeking an experiencedPrincipal Environmental Consultantto help lead our growth in Brisbane and South-East Queensland.

This is a senior opportunity combining technical leadership, project delivery and client engagement. You will help shape our Queensland environmental capability, supported by our directors and national environmental and sustainability team.

With team members across Sydney, Melbourne, we are strengthening our presence in Brisbane and building on established industry relationships and a growing pipeline of Queensland opportunities.

We provide practical, commercially focused advice across environmental management, approvals, compliance, sustainability, climate resilience and infrastructure sustainability.

The Chance

You will lead and support the delivery of environmental services across major infrastructure, construction and development projects.

The role combines technical delivery, project leadership and client management, with opportunities to contribute to proposals, tenders and business development alongside our directors.

This is not a standalone business-development role. You will be supported in developing client relationships, securing opportunities and growing our Queensland capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead environmental advisory, approvals, compliance and management services.
- Prepare andreview environmental management plans, approvals documentation, compliance reports and environmental assessments.
- Advise clients on Queensland environmental legislation, project obligations, approvals and environmental risks.
- Manage project scope, budgets, programmes,



deliverables and key client relationships.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders and new and existing client opportunities.
- Mentor team members and support the growth of our Queensland environmental team.

About You

You will ideally bring:

- A relevant qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, planning, natural resource management or a related discipline.
- Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience, although capability and directly relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation, approvals and regulatory requirements.
- Experience delivering environmental services across infrastructure, transport, water, energy, construction or major development projects.
- Strong project, commercial and client relationship management skills.
- Clear technical writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- An interest in helping grow a specialist consultancy and mentoring others.
- Consulting experience and an established network in Brisbane or South East Queensland would be highly regarded but are not essential.

Working Arrangements

The role will be based in Brisbane, with flexibility to work from home, client locations and agreed office or coworking arrangements. Some project-related travel may be required.
