About the Role

We're looking for a driven and customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join our growing showroom team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and helping clients create functional and inspiring workspaces.
As a Retail Sales Consultant, you'll work closely with customers visiting the showroom, providing expert guidance to help them find the right commercial furniture solutions for their needs. You'll also contribute to sales growth and business development by building strong client relationships and delivering outstanding service across every touchpoint—from showroom consultations to phone and email enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Outstanding Customer Experiences

- Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom, taking the time to understand their workplace furniture requirements.
- Provide tailored product recommendations that align with customer needs, budgets, and project objectives.
- Deliver exceptional service across all customer touchpoints, including face-to-face consultations, phone calls, emails, live chat, and client visits.
- Resolve customer enquiries and escalations professionally, ensuring positive outcomes and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Drive Sales & Business Growth

- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with new and existing customers.




- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts while proactively generating new business.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate sales agreements, and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Contribute to customer retention initiatives, promotional campaigns, and showroom events.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Monitor sales performance, forecast results, and contribute to monthly business planning and sales strategies.

Maintain an Exceptional Showroom

- Develop in‑depth knowledge of our furniture collections, product features, and customization options.
- Ensure the showroom remains clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Create an engaging showroom experience that reflects our brand and inspires customers.

Collaborate Across the Business

- Work closely with the sales, project management, and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer journey from initial consultation through to delivery.
- Support showroom initiatives and contribute to the achievement of team and territory sales goals.
- Share ideas and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes, enhance customer experiences, and support ongoing business growth.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, customer service, or a similar client‑facing role.
- Strong relationship‑building and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and consistently achieve targets.
- Professional presentation with a customer‑first mindset.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
