Supply Chain Associate

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full supply chain lifecycle, taking ownership of procurement, inventory, supplier relationships and logistics to ensure manufacturing operations run efficiently. You'll work closely with production, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain continuity of supply while driving continuous improvements across the supply chain function.
The Prospect
As the Supply Chain Associate, you'll play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by managing procurement, inventory, logistics and supplier performance. You'll ensure materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining compliance with GMP and TGA requirements.
This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements that deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies and exceptional service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging, cartons and manufacturing consumables.
- Sourcing new suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating pricing and commercial terms.
- Building and maintaining robust supplier relationships to ensure quality, service and reliable supply.
- Coordinating deliveries, tracking shipments and resolving supply issues to minimise production disruptions.
- Processing purchase orders, goods receipts and inventory transactions within SAP.
- Maintaining accurate supplier, inventory and procurement records.
- Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting future material requirements.
- Supporting warehouse operations including receipting,
stock coordination and material availability.
- Working closely with production to ensure manufacturing schedules are fully supported.
- Identifying supply risks, shortages and delays while implementing proactive solutions.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory and logistics.
- Ensuring all supply chain activities comply with GMP, TGA and internal quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, traceability and audit-ready records at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role you'll bring:
- Experience in procurement, supply chain or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience supporting production through purchasing, inventory management and supplier coordination.
- Strong SAP experience and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, reduce costs or increase operational efficiencies.
- Knowledge of sourcing, procurement and supply chain practices within consumer goods or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- A customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
