Field Operations Supervisor- Commercial Cleaning
258 Cleaning Pty Ltd TA Cleaneroo – Gladesville NSW
Field Operations Supervisor — Sydney
Cleaneroo Commercial | Full-time | Field-based | A$73,000–$100k depending on experience
You won't be managed. You'll be trusted. You'll grow.
Most cleaning supervisor roles are a trap. You get the title, none of the authority, and a boss who checks in five times a day because the last person burned them.
This isn't that.
Cleaneroo runs 150+ sites across Sydney split over 2-3 managers— private schools, offices, medical centres, OSHC — and we're ISO 9001 and 45001 certified with a 5-star Google rating. We got there by actually backing the people on the ground. If you're valuable at this job, we get out of your way.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
You set your own schedule. One non-negotiable meeting a week (Tuesday, 9am, in person or video call — that's it), then it's your diary. Some weeks you're Monday to Friday. Some weeks you're covering weekends instead. You'll know in advance, and if you're on top of your sites, you can take a weekday off when you need one. Average day starts and finish around 1pm–9pm — but you're the one deciding when your day starts and ends, not a rostering system.
No one's tracking your GPS. No one's calling to ask why you're not at your desk. You don't have a desk.
Where this goes:
We're not offering a job you'll do for a year and leave. We're offering a role that grows — your portfolio of sites expands as you prove yourself, and your salary moves with it. You'll be learning directly from Raffaele and Leo, our Head of Operations, who's been in this industry long enough to know what actually works. You'll be around a team that's productive because they want to be, not because someone’s watching them.
Fuel and car allowance from day one.
Company car at 6 months. That's not a perk we dangle — it's just what happens when you stick around and do the job well.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Walking into sites and knowing in ten seconds what's off
- Retraining cleaners on the spot, practically, not with a lecture
- Inducting new cleaners subcontractors and employees so they start strong, not confused
- Setting up new sites when we land new clients
- Catching problems before they become client complaints
- Backing your team when something goes wrong — not throwing them under the bus
- Logging visits in Monday.com and Connecteam so nothing gets lost
- Showing up Tuesday, 9am, every week, no excuses
- Keeping and building a list of reliable back up cleaners and doing coffee meet ups and interviews
- Fixing Client requests on the daily
- Delivering Consumables
- Upselling ad hoc job jobs such as carpet cleans , deep cleans and then supervising them
Who actually thrives here:
- You've cleaned professionally or supervised a team — no exceptions on this one
- You lead with respect, not pressure — people work harder for you because they want to, not because they're scared
- You're reliable in a way that's almost boring — you say you'll be there, you're there
- You're fit, hands-on, and genuinely don't mind being on your feet all day
- You want to learn — you're not looking for a ceiling, you're looking for a runway
- You want ownership of your schedule, not a script someone else wrote
If you're the right person, this is what you get:
- Real autonomy — not "flexible" in name only
- A team and a boss who actually communicate, so you're never guessing
- A growth path with real salary movement, not a title bump with no pay change
- A company that's been built properly and is still building
- People around you who are good at this and want to get better at it
