Design Manager required for busy structural steel construction company in Berrinba.
We are one of Queensland’s foremost structural steel fabricators and erectors with a solid 46-year history in the construction industry and are responsible for some of the most prominent structures around South-East Queensland. Due to recent expansion, the move into our recent modern facility, and an increase in tendering activity and projects under construction, we are looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Design Manager to join our growing Estimating and Project Management team.
You will be responsible for:
- Review of project designs and advising on preferred structural details
- Liaising with drafting subcontractors
- Monitoring and reporting to the client on drafting and fabrication status
- Assisting with design solutions for all design and construct projects
To be successful you will need:
- Previous experience in the structural steel industry and a drafting background will be highly regarded
- Basic experience using AutoCAD or 3d software such as Prosteel, Tekla or Advance Steel
- High level of organisational and communication skills
- Medium to high level of computer literacy
- Ability to multi-task, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently manage your own workload to meet pressing deadlines
