An exciting opportunity is available for experienced First Class Welders to join a leading Australian manufacturer of heavy mining attachments and large-scale structural components based in Archerfield on either day or afternoon shift.
This is a workshop-based role working on heavy mining equipment and excavator attachments, offering consistent overtime, stable ongoing work and a genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidates.
Duties
- Perform heavy plate FCAW welding on mining buckets, excavator attachments and structural components
- Complete multi-pass welds on thick, high-strength steel
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures
- Carry out fit-up, structural welding and fabrication activities
- Complete repairs, modifications and wear package installations
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets required standards
- Operate safely within a heavy manufacturing environment

Skills & Experience
- Australian recognised Trade Qualification or First Class Welder qualification
- Proven experience welding heavy plate in a mining or heavy fabrication environment
- Experience with mining buckets, excavator attachments or similar heavy equipment
- Strong FCAW welding experience on thick structural steel
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively within a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
