Company Description The NSW Sexual Health Infolink (SHIL) is a state-wide, nurse-led sexual health service within NSW Health that supports both health professionals and the public. SHIL provides clinical advice on sexually transmitted infections (STIs), blood-borne viruses (BBVs), and emerging infections such as Mpox, along with evidence-based HIV and STI testing and treatment guidelines. The service offers clinical support for PEP and PrEP prescribing, specialist HIV and syphilis support, complex partner notification, and referral to sexual health and infectious diseases specialists. For the public, SHIL delivers information and risk assessments related to HIV, hepatitis, STIs, Mpox, testing options, vaccination, and referrals or bookings to sexual health services, including support for contact tracing. SHIL operates dedicated Health Skilled and public phone lines during weekday business hours, ensuring accessible sexual health support across NSW. Role Description The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 3) - Sexual Health Infolink (SHIL) is a senior clinical leadership role within NSW's state-wide sexual health information and referral service. Based in Sydney,



this full-time position supports both health professionals and the public through SHIL's telephone and digital channels. As the CNC3, you will provide expert clinical consultation on sexually transmissible infections, blood-borne viruses, HIV, syphilis and emerging sexual health concerns, including guidance on PEP and PrEP. You will support the team to conduct sexual health risk and symptom assessments, coordinate referrals to sexual health and infectious diseases services across NSW, and support complex partner notification and contact tracing in line with current evidence-based guidelines. Beyond direct clinical consultation, the role drives service improvement and quality assurance, delivers education and mentoring to clinical staff, maintains high standards of documentation and data quality, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and partner services to strengthen sexual health care across the state.
