- In conjunction with Product Specialists, turn research ideas into technical plans using CAD/CAE software
- Compose and conduct testing on new prototypes, including Pre-Qualification Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing
- Develop and mentor Mechanical Designers
- Provide tooling design support across the full lifecycle of tooling (e.g. buoyancy and roto moulding tooling), from design and commissioning through to maintenance and decommissioning
- Collaborate with external fabrication and machining providers to ensure quality tooling design and manufacturing outcomes
- Assist with the assessment and selection of suitable tooling design and manufacturing approaches
- Ensure design and detail is in accordance with applicable Standards, good engineering practice, and AS 1100
- Identify potential safety or quality issues and work with personnel to eliminate or control risks
About You
To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in design engineering and tooling within a manufacturing environment. You'll bring strong technical modelling skills and enjoy working across design, production, and external suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

- A minimum degree qualification in Mechanical, Structural, or Mechatronic Engineering
- A minimum of 8 years' experience
- Experience with Solidworks
