HR Medical Waste Driver | Sunshine Coast Region

Engage is seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Medical Waste Driver to join a leading waste management company servicing healthcare facilities throughout the Sunshine Coast region.

This is a physically demanding role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and isn't afraid of hands-on work.

What's on Offer

- $39.89 per hour + overtime and penalty rates
- 3-month temporary role with the prospect for permanent employment
- Monday to Friday roster with occasional weekend and public holiday work
- Shift start times between 12:00am and 5:00pm (no fixed start time)
- Typical shifts of 8–12 hours
- Forest Glen staging location servicing the Sunshine Coast
- Applicants should ideally reside on the Sunshine Coast or between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast

Key Responsibilities

- Safely collect and deliver medical waste to healthcare facilities
- Load and unload medical waste bins weighing up to 30kg
- Complete scheduled delivery runs safely and on time
- Maintain excellent customer service at all delivery locations




- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding deliveries and any issues encountered

About You

- Current HR Licence (automatic restriction accepted)
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting, bending and standing throughout the day
- Safety-focused with excellent communication skills
- Forklift Licence advantageous but not essential
- Understands this is a hands-on role, not just driving between locations

Pre-Employment Requirements

- Complete company WH&S; induction prior to commencement
- National Police Check
- Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred
