The Business Support Team are responsible for a wide range of Governance related activities that are put in place to ensure AIGAL is consistently compliant with product and underwriting related frameworks.How you will create an impactWe are seeking a Governance Analyst to primarily support the Business Support Manager to oversee and maintain all governance related reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring governance reports are completed on time while collaborating with various functions across AIGAL, working closely with the business support manager, the product governance manager and product owners. This is a critical task that is designed to significantly lessen the burden on underwriters and the overall AIGAL operation. Additionally, you will support our function across a wide range of governance related projects such as stamp duties remediation programs and more. The role is wide ranging and will expose you to many facets of our internal processes, systems and people gaining a wide range of skills that will propel your career This position reports directly to the Business Support Manager and requires a high degree of organisation abilities combined with excellent communications skills and technical knowledge.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:Schedule, maintain and run Peer Review Monitoring Reports and work with Product Owners to ensure 100% complianceSchedule, maintain and run Facultative RI monitoring reports and inform product owners and direct manager of adverse trendsSchedule,
maintain and run duties remediation reports and address exceptions to a successful conclusionMaintain the Everest Portfolio Transfer tracking sheet and ensure reporting output is consistently accurateEnsure Leavers & Joiners are updated in Team ThinkLead remediation activities as required such as Stamp Duty changes and other regulatory changes that filter down to the businessIdentify efficiency improvements that can be made to the ARPC Terrorism Annual Aggregate report to deliver better outcomes the businessSeek continuous improvement of all existing and future reporting mechanismsOccasional minute taking and assigning action items during Product Governance Committee meetings and Governance callsMaintaining an up-to-date inventory of policy wordings in Global Policy Forms Library, including the project management of the uplift of wordings into the Global Policy Forms Library for New ZealandDocument all reporting regimes within the remit of the Business Support functionWhat you’ll need to succeedA background in general insurance preferredDemonstrated organisational skillsDemonstrated technical skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python and relational database knowledgeProfessional experience working well with other teams to successfully achieve goalsProven ability to prioritize work streams and respond promptly in an appropriate mannerDemonstrated success anticipating internal and external client needs and act proactivelyProven ability to identify problems and deliver appropriate solutionsReady to make a bigger impact?
