Essential Services Management Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 2nd / 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our Services & Maintenance team.

This is a full-time position based in Gladesville, NSW 2111. In this role, you will be working towards completing your electrical apprenticeship whilst gaining valuable hands‑on experience in both general electrical work and fire safety systems.

You will be part of our growing team, supporting qualified electricians and technicians on a variety of projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment whilst contributing to the delivery of high‑quality electrical and fire safety services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

Assist qualified electricians and fire technicians on installation, maintenance, and repair projects

Perform supervised general electrical work including wiring, cable installation, and basic circuit testing under supervision

Support electrical and fire safety system installations, inspections, and maintenance activities

Learn and apply electrical safety standards and compliance requirements on all job sites

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure job site cleanliness and safety

Record work progress and maintain accurate documentation as directed

Attend to site‑specific health and safety requirements and contribute to a secure working environment

Progress through your apprenticeship by attending training and completing required competency assessments

What we're looking for

Currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program and in your 2nd or 3rd year of training

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams

Practical experience with hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work

A reliable work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team





Good communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced professionals

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Relevant technical knowledge in areas such as wiring, circuits, and electrical testing

Interest in or exposure to fire safety systems and maintenance is advantageous
