We are seeking a Factory Hand to join the team at Lighthouse Furnishings. This is a casual position based in Seventeen Mile Rocks, QLD 4073 with the prospect of becoming a full-time role for the right candidate. As a Factory Hand, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing and assembly operations, supporting the production process and ensuring our products meet quality standards. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment where your contributions directly impact our operational efficiency and product quality.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with assembly and processing tasks on the production line
- Preparing materials and components for manufacturing operations
- Operating machinery and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and company protocols
- Inspecting finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Packing and labelling products for dispatch
- Following work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency
- Supporting the team to meet production targets and deadlines
- Reporting any issues or defects to the appropriate supervisor
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in factory, assembly or manufacturing environments is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently and safely on a production line
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Willingness to learn new processes and equipment operation
- A clean full driving licence for deliveries - a van will be supplied
