PJN Steel Fabrication are one of the country's leading agricultural shed companies & we currently have an exciting opportunity for a WHS Manager to join our growing team in Walla Walla, NSW.

The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation maintains a secure, healthy, and compliant workplace environment.

This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous review of WHS systems, policies, and programs while providing expert advice and support to management and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

WHS Compliance & Advisory

- Provide expert advice to management on WHS best practice and legislative requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of WHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and industry standards.
- Identify, assess, and evaluate workplace hazards, health risks, and security risks across all operations.
- Implement effective controls and mitigation strategies to reduce risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure preventative measures are enforced.

Safety Monitoring & Auditing

- Schedule and conduct regular WHS audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.




- Inspect premises, equipment, and staff practices to identify non-conformities.
- Stop unsafe acts or processes that pose immediate risk.

Hazardous Materials & Equipment Safety

- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous or dangerous goods in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with PPE and safe equipment use.
- Respond to emergencies and workplace accidents, ensuring correct WHS procedures are followed.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
- Prepare incident and safety reports, including statistical analysis for management.

Injury Management & Return to Work

- Coordinate injury management, including communication with workers’ compensation providers, medical practitioners, and employees.
- Support return-to-work planning and monitoring.

Training & Induction

- Deliver WHS components of new staff inductions and ongoing staff training.
- Champion a positive safety culture across the organisation.
