We are seeking an experienced Facade Design Manager to lead the design and coordination of complex building envelope systems across high‑rise and commercial developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys managing projects from concept through to delivery while working closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facade and building envelope design development from concept through project delivery.
- Oversee the design of high‑rise curtain wall, window wall, unitised and stick‑built facade systems.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and facade performance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Structural requirements
- Thermal performance standards
- Waterproofing and air infiltration requirements
- Acoustic performance criteria
- Fire and life safety codes
- Review internal shop drawings, VMU/PMU documentation and construction details to ensure constructability and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate design comments, revisions and technical solutions with architects, consultants, external contractors and internal project teams.
- Support project delivery through effective planning, documentation and technical leadership.
About You
- Proven experience in facade engineering, facade design or building envelope management.
- Strong understanding of curtain wall, window wall, unitised and stick‑built systems.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and performance requirements.
- Knowledge of Australian building codes, facade standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Program‑driven, highly organised and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience delivering high‑rise residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects is highly regarded.
- Ability to converse fluently in Mandarin
