Human Resources Manager
WAIDT Services Security (WSS) | Full-Time

About the Role

WAIDT Services Security (WSS) is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the company's human resource operations and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Account Managers. This is a highly visible role responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, compliance and organisational development, supporting business growth while maintaining a positive, values-driven workplace culture across our security operations nationally.

You will partner closely with the CEO and Account Managers to provide practical, commercially-focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs in a fast-paced, mobile workforce environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, partnering with hiring managers to support talent acquisition across a geographically dispersed workforce
- Prepare job descriptions, employment contracts and onboarding documentation
- Work with the Account Managers to oversee employee onboarding and induction programs to ensure a positive employee experience from day one
- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with best practice and legislative requirements
- Lead employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
- Advise management on employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practice, including compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and relevant Awards (including the Security Services Industry Award 2020)
- Coordinate and deliver performance management and appraisal programs across the business
- Support workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning activities




- Drive employee engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives, with particular attention to the needs of a remote and site-based workforce
- Coordinate training and professional development initiatives, including compliance and licensing requirements specific to the security industry
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems and reporting to support data-driven decision-making
- Contribute to change management and organisational development initiatives as the business grows

About You

You are an experienced HR professional who combines sound judgement with genuine commercial awareness. You build trusted relationships easily, communicate with clarity and confidence at all levels of the organisation, and thrive in an environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same.

Must have:

- Previous experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practice
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and advising managers on complex people issues
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with sound judgement in ambiguous situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems




- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

Nice to have:

- Experience within security, defence, government or another regulated, compliance-driven industry
- Experience supporting a dispersed, multi-site or field-based workforce
- Exposure to organisational change, business growth or workforce integration activities
- Membership of AHRI or an equivalent professional body
