Job Description

Environmental Scientists nec At FAUNA SPOTTERS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD, we are looking for a skilled Environmental Scientists nec to work on a full-time basis (38-40 hours per week). Duties and Responsibilities:

- Monitoring compliance with environmental legislation, biodiversity protection requirements, and environmental approval conditions.
- Undertaking ecological assessments and habitat inspections associated with vegetation clearing, infrastructure development, and construction activities.
- Conducting fauna spotting and catching services, wildlife rescue and relocation, and biodiversity management measures during construction works.
- Preparing technical ecological evaluations relating to infrastructure, industrial, and land development proposals.
- Applying ecological assessment methodologies including habitat evaluation, species identification, ecological risk assessment, and environmental monitoring techniques.
- Preparing technical environmental documentation, environmental monitoring reports, GIS and ecological mapping outputs, and mitigation frameworks.
- Developing mitigation measures, rehabilitation strategies,



and environmental management recommendations based on ecological and environmental assessments.
- Liaising with project teams, contractors, stakeholders, and environmental authorities regarding environmental compliance and biodiversity management matters.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct environmental assessments, analyse scientific data, and prepare accurate technical reports in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of environmental management principles, ecological assessment methodologies, environmental monitoring techniques, and applicable Australian environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing tasks, and meet reporting and project deadlines in a quick-paced consulting or field-based environment.

Position: Full Time Salary: $80,000 – 100,000 per year Location: QLD 4870
