Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our collaborative and supportive team.

This role is ideally suited to an established Electrical Estimator, Senior Estimator, or a commercial professional involved in tendering and cost management, this role offers the chance to play a key part in delivering successful projects across our business.

This role will primarily focus on commercial electrical estimating and cost planning. While Swift Energy Group also operates within the renewable energy sector, experience in solar or renewable projects is advantageous but not essential.

Based in either our Brisbane (Rocklea) or Toowoomba office, this role offers flexibility to work from either location while contributing to a diverse range of commercial electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities will include

- Evaluation of tender documentation and assist with preparation and submission of proposals ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
- Liaise with suppliers/vendors to maximize opportunities through quality relationships.
- Seek sub-contract/material pricing after appropriate take-offs are complete.
- Procurement and coordination of material availability for projects.
- Identify value management and cost planning opportunities.
- Contribute to business development by identifying potential clients, project opportunities and market leads.
- Support project tender administrator with technical queries.




- Support project teams with cost variances, procurement and other duties as required.

Skills and Experience

Our new team member will show demonstrated strengths in the following areas:

- 2+ years' experience in an estimating or similar commercial role within the electrical industry.
- Proven experience & strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry standards
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & other programs
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Flexible attitude to travel and working hours

Other qualities will include the ability to:

- Collaborate effectively with other team members and external parties.
- Plan your time effectively to manage competing demands.
- Report effectively to management and stakeholders.
- Observe the policies and procedures of the organisation.

The successful applicant will have proven experience within a similar role with extensive electrical knowledge.
