Our client is a family-owned industry leader specializing in heavy commercial vehicles, driven by a goal to be the absolute best globally at what they do. This current, fully office-based role is for a technical professional—ideally an auto mechanic / electrician ready for leadership ; to oversee maintenance across NSW (Minto), Newcastle, and Albury. You will manage suppliers, evaluate vehicles, and optimize fleet reliability. Culture fit is paramount: we need a well-spoken, corporate-ready, proactive, tech-savvy problem solver.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage the fleet maintenance program to maximize internal and external customer satisfaction while minimizing repair and admin costs.
- Actively manage the assigned region, taking full ownership of maintenance risk and conducting structured supplier performance meetings.
- Negotiate industry-leading arrangements with service providers and resolve maintenance disputes with mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Visit sites regularly to check in on jobs with suppliers, including quarterly travel to Melbourne and fortnightly visits to Albury and Newcastle.

Technical Oversight & Operations:

- Oversee the evaluation of vehicles returned from long-term lease arrangements and liaise with stakeholders to arrange required work.
- Ensure vehicle safety is maintained and never compromised by taking a proactive and preventative approach.
- Coordinate equipment services and vehicle de-hires while occasionally assisting with ad-hoc operational tasks.
