We're looking for a hands-on Development Manager to lead a squad of developers, drive high-quality software delivery, and help shape the future of AI-enabled development within our R&D; team.

This is not a traditional people-management role. We're looking for someone who combines technical leadership, software development expertise, coaching capability, and a passion for leveraging AI to improve the way software is built.

About the Role

As Development Manager, you will lead a squad of onshore and offshore developers, providing technical leadership while remaining close to the code. You'll be responsible for delivery outcomes, mentoring developers, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring software is delivered to a high standard.

A key focus of the role will be driving adoption of AI-assisted development practices, helping the team improve productivity, quality, and learning velocity through the effective use of emerging tools and technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead and mentor a development squad delivering ERP software across web, mobile, integration, and application platforms.

- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for complex development initiatives.

- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.

- Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to deliver effective solutions.

- Own technical issues and ensure they are investigated, prioritised, and resolved promptly.





- Drive adoption of AI development tools and establish best practices for AI-assisted workflows.

- Manage delivery timelines, risks, estimates, and technical execution.

- Lead release planning and deployment activities.

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience leading software development teams or squads.

- Strong .NET development background, including C# and SQL Server.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- A passion for mentoring developers and building team capability.

- Experience using or driving adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach to technical leadership and delivery.

Preferred Experience

- 5+ years' experience in software development.

- Experience in a Technical Lead, Team Lead, Development Manager, or similar leadership role.

- Experience developing enterprise or ERP software solutions.

- Exposure to distributed teams and offshore development environments.
