About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Outbound Supervisor to join our PM shift at our Arndell Park depot. You will play a pivotal rolein ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the national express freight business. This multifaceted position involves overseeing various aspects, including safety, compliance, service quality, cost management, recruitment, training, and facilities/equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of all safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular audits to assess and enhance safety measures and compliance across all operations.
- Ensure company policies to manage all elements of the chain of responsibility are followed correctly.
- Monitor service performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to achieve customer expectations.
- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve service-related issues and optimise service delivery.
- Ensure that all held over freight is managed to company standards.
- Maintain a sending DIFOTat or above the set targets for the state.
- Monitor and enhance the overall service quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Drive a customer-centric approach to service delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with other departments including sending states and linehaul operations to streamline processes and enhance overall service quality.
- Drive scanning compliance is at the highest possible standard to ensure trackability of all consignments throughout the network.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for service excellence.
- Assist with the development and management of budgets for PM specific operational aspects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or service quality.
- Regularly analyse operating results to ensure best financial outcomes for the business.
- Oversee the recruitment and induction processes for PM operational staff ensuring demonstrated knowledge of company and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development in all things.
- Lead a diverse team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

- Address employee concerns and conduct performance evaluations.
Key qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred) or comparative industry experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the freight or logistics industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Functional financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions and problem solve under pressure.
