About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive outstanding care from the moment they walk through the door. You'll provide chairside assistance to our clinicians while also supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice through reception and administrative duties.
No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy a varied role where you'll make a real difference to our patients' experience.
Availability must include Friday's and be open to working Saturdays
Key Responsibilities
Clinical
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists, hygienists, and oral health therapists.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments before and after procedures.
- Maintain exceptional infection control and sterilisation standards.
- Assist with dental materials and equipment during procedures.
- Support digital radiography (where appropriately trained).
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient support.
- Monitor and maintain clinical stock levels.
Reception & Administration
- Welcome patients and create a positive first impression.
- Manage appointments and patient records.
- Answer phones and respond to patient enquiries.
- Process payments and maintain accurate accounts.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys helping others and thrives in a team environment. Ideally, you'll have:
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new software.
- The ability to work well both independently and within a team.
- Full Australian working rights.
