Work with animals in the Pet Care Industry

A busy pet motel is seeking an Animal attendant who's job will be preparing meals, administering medication, driving our pet taxi, enrichment and behavior rehabilitation, recognizing potential illnesses, keeping track of items brought in with each pet, cleaning and setting up rooms for the next guests, owner education and giving pets and their owners a positive experience. The position needs someone who is experienced in working with dogs, cats and small pets in a calm and gentle manner.

You will need to work under pressure at times. Reliability, punctuality, fitness, flexibility and an ability to bond with the pets and our team is essential. There can be flexible schedule to suit you, however,



you must be available during peak school holiday times and weekends. Seasonal industry means that you get really busy days and some days where you will need to recognize jobs which need to be done without too much direction. Receptionist skills writing emails, checking in pets and taking bookings on the phone is a plus. We also have a large grooming salon with a grooming and bathing area. Grooming and nail cutting experience in all breeds of dogs and cats would be an advantage.
