Wet Fire Service Technician / Sprinkler Fitter

Linkfire focuses its servicing on the Newcastle and Hunter region, working closely with local businesses, strata managers and building owners to keep their properties safe and compliant.

We’re a local team backed by the support and systems of a larger national company. Due to continued growth in the region, we’re looking for aWet Fire Service Technician / Sprinkler Fitterto join our Newcastle branch.

This role will service sites across Newcastle and the Hunter, with all work local to the area.

About the Role

This is a hands-on service position working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential facilities throughout the Newcastle and Hunter region.

Your day may include:

- Routine inspection and testing of automatic sprinkler systems
- Testing and servicing hydrant and hose reel systems
- Fire extinguisher servicing and testing
- Fault finding and minor repairs
- Preparing clear service reports using electronic reporting software
- Liaising professionally with customers on site
- Working in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures

No two days are the same, giving you exposure to a wide range of fire protection systems.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a close-knit team.

Ideally you will have:

- Experience with sprinkler and hydrant testing




- Knowledge of AS1851 routine servicing requirements
- Prior use of electronic reporting software
- Experience with fire detection systems (desirable)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Construction White Card

Relevant fire industry qualifications or plumbing qualifications will be highly regarded, however experienced fire technicians from related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
