We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team at a busy, well-established southside dermatology practice.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinically strong nurse leader who enjoys building high-performing teams and wants to shape nursing practice across a large, growing specialist clinic.
About the Practice
- Busy dermatology clinic with 16 specialist doctors
- Focus on skin cancer management, general dermatology, and procedural/surgical dermatology
- Supportive, close-knit multidisciplinary team
- High standards of patient care and professionalism
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday roster
- Occasional late afternoon finishes required
- Reports to the Practice Manager
Key Responsibilities
Clinical leadership
- Maintaining a strong, hands-on clinical presence - assisting with procedural and surgical dermatology, wound care, and nurse-led treatments (including PDT and UVB therapy) as needed
- Setting and monitoring clinical standards, protocols, and competency across the nursing team
- Overseeing infection control, sterilisation, and WHS compliance in clinical areas
Team leadership and mentorship
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Enrolled and Registered Nurses
- Supporting onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development for nursing staff
- Running regular check-ins and performance conversations,
and supporting staff through probation and review periods
Rostering and operations
- Building and managing the nursing roster to ensure appropriate coverage across clinic sessions
- Managing stock, equipment, and room readiness in collaboration with reception and clinical teams
- Working closely with the Practice Manager, doctors, and reception team to ensure smooth clinic flow and a positive patient experience
- Acting as the key point of liaison between nursing staff and management on day-to-day clinical and operational matters
- Contributing to broader practice initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement work
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience leading or supervising a team
- Robust mentorship and coaching skills, with a genuine interest in developing others
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across clinical and non-clinical teams
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced practice
- Strong attention to detail and a patient-focused approach
