About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Security Technician with a genuine passion for IT and technology to join our growing team.

This is an entry-level position where you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training from experienced technicians. If you enjoy working with computers, home networks, electronics, or technology in general and are looking for a long-term career rather than just a job, we'd like to hear from you.

As part of our team, you will assist qualified technicians with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of electronic security systems for commercial and government clients.

The role is a combination of hands‑on trade work and IT. You'll learn how to install and run cabling throughout commercial buildings, terminate and test cables, install electronic hardware, and program systems. Much like an electrician, you'll spend time working on‑site, but you'll also configure software, troubleshoot networks, and integrate multiple technologies into a single security solution.

Our systems commonly integrate with:

CCTV and AI video analytics

Access control systems

Building automation

Lift control

Automatic doors

IP networks and cloud-based services

Artificial Intelligence has become a major part of the electronic security industry. Modern CCTV systems now incorporate AI features such as intelligent object detection, people counting, licence plate recognition, facial recognition, and advanced video analytics. You'll have the opportunity to learn and work with these cutting‑edge technologies.

The ideal candidate will have:

A genuine interest in IT and technology.

Basic experience with computers, home networks, or software configuration.

Experience using basic hand and power tools.

A willingness to learn from experienced technicians.

A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

The determination to see tasks through and build a long‑term career.

An understanding of electronics, electrical circuits, networking, or low‑voltage systems would be highly regarded but is not essential.

- Salary: $68,000 - $78,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- 12% employer superannuation, above the standard Superannuation Guarantee.
