Learning & Development Specialist | NSW Government

The Company

Our client is a well-respected and reputable government organisation and are well known across NSW. They believe in recruiting the best of the best and provide their staff with a friendly work setting with supportive management.

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to enhance the capability of current and future learning solutions across the department. This newly created role supports a key Government project and is based in Parramatta, with work-from-home flexibility. The position will initially be on a 6‑month contract.

The Job

- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify capability needs and deliver effective learning solutions.
- Design, develop and facilitate engaging learning programs across multiple delivery channels.
- Conduct learning needs analysis and manage end-to-end program delivery.




- Evaluate and continuously improve learning initiatives using feedback and best practice.
- Drive digital learning innovation and build a strong learning culture aligned to business priorities.

You

- 10+ years' experience in a strategic Learning & Development or Learning Business Partner role.
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities or other complex asset-based organisations, ideally with exposure to government or the public sector.
- Tertiary qualification in Instructional Design, Learning Design, Education or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Proven track record of designing and delivering contemporary learning and capability programs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
