Kids on 4th Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our dedicated team in Palm Beach, QLD. This is a part-time position, 5 days a week that offers a unique opportunity to lead educational programming and mentor fellow educators in a supportive, dynamic early learning environment. As a Lead Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of young children whilst fostering a collaborative and inclusive community. This role sits above the award level and offers remuneration that reflects your expertise and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, implement and evaluate high-quality educational programs that promote children's learning, development and wellbeing across all areas of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Lead and mentor educators within your designated room or program area, providing guidance on best practice and supporting professional development
- Conduct observations and assessments of children's progress, documenting learning journeys and communicating developmental milestones to families
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and staff, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity
- Implement behaviour guidance strategies that promote children's emotional regulation and social competence
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment that meets legislative and duty of care requirements
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support the development and implementation of centre policies and procedures




- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a point of contact for families and respond to enquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy

What we’re looking for

- A recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for Queensland or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Demonstrated experience working in early learning or childcare settings for a minimum of 3-5 years
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and support team members
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practice in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Knowledge of child safeguarding and duty of care obligations in early learning environments
- Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of children and families
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and creating positive early learning experiences
- Preferred:



Experience in a leadership or room leader role and knowledge of children with additional needs or diverse learning requirements
