Renovation A Pty Ltd Renovation A Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Carpenter to carry out residential renovation and construction work across NSW. Duties include reading plans, measuring and cutting materials, constructing and installing frames, walls, floors, doors, windows, decking, cladding and other timber structures, and repairing or replacing existing fixtures. The role also involves using hand and power tools safely, checking completed work for accuracy, working with supervisors and other trades, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with site safety requirements

Task & responsibilities Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings, sketches, specifications and site instructions to determine materials, dimensions, installation methods and work procedures. Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping and preparing timber, plywood, wallboard, composite materials and other building materials for use in renovation and construction work. Selecting, ordering and preparing timber, hardware, fixings and other carpentry materials required for each project.

Constructing, erecting and installing wall frames, roof framing, sub-floor structures, floorboards, partitions, ceiling battens, door frames, window frames and other structural or non-structural carpentry components. Renovating, repairing, replacing and modifying existing timber structures, fixtures and fittings as required for residential renovation projects. Installing doors,



windows, skirting boards, architraves, fascia, cladding, decking, stairs, shelving, cabinetry supports and other internal or external carpentry finishes.

Assembling, fitting and fixing cut and shaped parts using nails, screws, adhesives, brackets and other appropriate fastening methods. Carrying out demolition, removal and replacement of damaged or outdated timber structures and fittings where required as part of renovation works. Preparing work areas, setting out materials, protecting existing surfaces and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and safely.

Operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, saws, nail guns, drills, planers, sanders and other carpentry equipment in a safe and competent manner. Coordinating with builders, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades to ensure carpentry work is completed according to project timelines. Maintaining clean, organised and safe work areas, including correct storage of tools, materials and equipment.

Qualification & experience Relevant qualifications in related construction Minimum 2 years experience in residential carpentry, renovations, repairs, fit-outs or general building works. Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications. Strong measuring, cutting, levelling, framing and installation skills.

Competency using carpentry hand tools, power tools and site equipment. Knowledge of timber, plywood, wallboard, fixings, framing materials and renovation methods. Understanding of work health and safety requirements on construction sites.
