Maggio's was established in 1998 in Cammeray and today is a thriving hub for the local community. We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Pastry Chef to join our friendly team. No previous experience is required – just a passion for creating quality pastries and desserts, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.

Pastry Apprentice responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Preparing and baking pastries, cakes, tarts, slices and desserts
- Assisting with the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, creams and icings
- Decorating pastries and cakes to a high standard
- Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes
- Ensuring products are completed in time for daily service
- Maintaining a clean and organised pastry kitchen
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Requirements:





- A genuine interest in pastry and dessert production
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Positive organisational and time management skills
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Ability to safely use commercial kitchen equipment including mixers and ovens
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Commitment to producing high-quality pastries and desserts
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Must be able to adhere to health and safety regulations

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
