We are seeking an experiencedand proactive Rostering Manager to lead our rostering function and driveworkforce optimisation across a diverse and growing aged care organisation.
This role is ideal for aworkforce planning and rostering professional who enjoys leading teams,partnering with operational leaders, and implementing workforce solutions thatsupport both quality care outcomes and organisational sustainability.
You will work closely withResidential Managers, Home and Community leaders, Talent Acquisition, Finance,and the broader People, Engagement & Culture team to ensure workforceresources are effectively planned, allocated, and managed. You will play acritical role in supporting care minute targets, workforce compliance, servicecontinuity, employee experience, and cost-efficient operations.
This is a highly visibleleadership position with genuine impact, suited to an experienced rosteringprofessional who can think strategically while remaining hands-on andoperationally focused.
What You Will Lead
- Championa high-performing, customer-focused rostering function across theorganisation.
- Lead,develop, and manage a dedicated rostering team
- Overseeend-to-end rostering, workforce allocation, and shift coverage acrossResidential Aged Care, Home and Community Services, and other servicestreams.
- Driveworkforce optimisation initiatives to ensure the right people, with theright skills, are in the right place at the right time.
- Partnerwith operational leaders to meet care minute targets, improve workforceutilisation, and maintain service continuity.
- Collaborateclosely with Talent Acquisition to support workforce sustainability,vacancy management, and recruitment planning.
- Monitorand improve key workforce metrics including overtime, agency usage, labourcosts, leave liabilities, and roster efficiency.
- Leadworkforce forecasting and planning initiatives to support organisationalgrowth and operational requirements.
- Ensurerosters comply with Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, NationalEmployment Standards, visa conditions, and relevant legislation.
- Conductregular roster audits to ensure legislative compliance, workforcegovernance, and operational effectiveness.
- Monitoremployees working under visa restrictions and ensure compliance with workrights obligations.
- Identify,implement, and embed continuous improvement initiatives that enhancerostering efficiency and workforce performance.
- Deliveraccurate workforce reporting, analysis, and insights to inform businessdecisions and workforce strategies.
- Buildstrong relationships with key stakeholders across operations, People &Culture;, and external providers.
- Trainand support leaders and employees in the effective use of rosteringsystems and workforce management tools.
- Contributeto broader People, Engagement & Culture initiatives and organisationalimprovement projects.
About You
You are an experiencedrostering and workforce planning leader with the ability to manage competingpriorities, analyse complex workforce challenges, and build strongrelationships across all levels of the organisation.
You combine strongoperational capability with a strategic mindset and are passionate aboutcreating workforce solutions that support quality care outcomes, employeewellbeing, and organisational performance.
You bring:
- Demonstratedexperience leading rostering, workforce planning, or scheduling functionswithin a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Strongunderstanding of rostering principles, workforce allocation, and serviceoptimisation.
- Provenexperience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Soundknowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Awards, National Employment Standards,and employment legislation.
- Experiencemanaging workforce compliance requirements and governance obligations.
- Stronganalytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and driveinformed decision-making.
- Experiencein workforce forecasting, reporting, and planning.
- Exceptionalorganisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellentcommunication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Theability to influence and collaborate effectively with leaders andemployees at all levels.
- Strongproblem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Experiencewithin aged care, health, community services, disability, or anotherhighly regulated environment (highly regarded).
