Yindili Indigenous Recruitment is recruiting for multiple full-time permanent positions within established powerline vegetation management crews based in Penrith.
Opportunities are available across all experience levels, including:
- Entry-level Tree Workers with practical experience from farming, agriculture, construction, landscaping, forestry, civil labouring or similar outdoor industries
- Experienced Tree Workers with vegetation clearing, chainsaw, woodchipper or powerline corridor experience
- Qualified Arborists with climbing, rigging, EWP or advanced tree-work experience

The work may include
Depending on your experience and qualifications, your duties may include:
- Ground-based tree work and vegetation clearing
- Operating chainsaws and woodchippers
- Tree felling and branch removal
- Foliar spraying and general vegetation control
- Working around powerlines and utility corridors
- Elevated Work Platform operations
- Tree climbing and rigging
- Travelling and working away from home when required
Entry-level employees will receive training and support, while experienced Tree Workers and qualified Arborists may be appointed at a level reflecting their skills, qualifications and industry experience.

What you will need
Requirements will vary depending on the position and level, but suitable applicants will generally have:
- Experience in physical, hands-on outdoor work
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliability and the ability to work effectively within a crew
- Confidence working around machinery and equipment
- Willingness to undertake different duties across the tree crew
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
- Australian working rights
The following licences, qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:
- White Card
- MR or HR truck licence
- Chainsaw operating experience or relevant tickets
- Certificate III in Arboriculture
- EWP High Risk Work Licence
- Tree climbing and rigging experience
- ESI or powerline vegetation management authorisations
- Vegetation management experience around utility assets
