At Rytrans Manufacturing, we don't just build trailers—we build some of Australia's toughest, safest and most cutting-edge livestock transport Trailers and Dollies.

With production booked years in advance and our business continuing to grow, we're looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager / Inventory Controller who understands the truck, trailer or heavy transport industry and wants to take ownership of one of the most important roles in our business.

About the Role

This is far more than a purchasing position.

You'll become the person responsible for ensuring every Rytrans trailer can be built and every repair completed by having the right materials and components available when they're needed.

You'll work closely with Production, Engineering, Workshop Supervisors and Management to keep our manufacturing facility operating efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Purchasing steel, hydraulics, axles, suspension, brakes, electrical components, fasteners and workshop consumables.
- Managing manufactured components and trailer spare parts inventory.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers across Australia.
- Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules and supply agreements.
- Managing purchase orders, receipting and supplier invoices through MYOB.
- Monitoring stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Conducting stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce purchasing costs and improve inventory efficiency.




- Working closely with production planning to ensure every trailer build stays on schedule.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have

- Experience in truck, trailer, heavy vehicle or agricultural parts.
- Purchasing or procurement experience within manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Strong inventory control experience.
- Knowledge of truck and trailer components including suspension, braking systems, hydraulics, electrical, axles or fabrication materials.
- Experience using MYOB or similar software.
- Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to solve problems before they become production delays.
- Forklift licence (preferred).
