Located in Australind, in the beautiful South West region of Western Australia, Camilles Cafe is a thriving café committed to delivering fresh, high-standard food, bakery lines, specialty coffee and outstanding customer service. We're currently recruiting for full-time Head Chef, Cook and Baker positions.
Position: Head Chef
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Australind, Western Australia
Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Prepare and present high-quality café meals to a consistent standard.
- Develop seasonal menu items and improve existing dishes.
- Supervise, train and support the kitchen team.
- Manage stock, ordering, food costs and minimise wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
- Work closely with management to achieve operational and business goals.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification).
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory kitchen role.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety legislation, hygiene standards and HACCP systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
- Passion for producing high-quality food and driving kitchen standards.

Position: Cook

Salary:
$65,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present café menu items to a high standard.
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Assist with menu development and daily food preparation.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen and front-of-house team during busy service periods.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification); relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
- Robust organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

- Prepare and bake a range of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies and other baked goods.
- Maintain consistent product quality, presentation and freshness.
- Follow recipes and production schedules to meet daily demand.
- Assist with stock control and minimise food wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe bakery environment.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality products.
