The Chance
/n
Reporting to the Process Superintendent, this role will ensure the shutdown isolations and permitting process is adhered to and executed in a safe and efficient manner. This is a permanent full‐time role based at our Pilgangoora Operation which operates on an 8/6; 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Ensure permits are prepared and remain compliant with our procedures throughout the permit to work and isolation process.
/n
- Confirm hazards and controls are clearly defined and signed off by an authorised representative.
/n
- Design isolation plans to ensure plant equipment is intrinsically safe to work on.
/n
- Prepare work permits and assign isolation lists specific to the scope of work.
/n
- Liaise with maintenance department to ensure the isolation of equipment is undertaken safely.
/n
- Competent in Permit to Work system.
/n
/n
- Deliver Permit to Work Training.
/n
- Support supervisors and apply isolations as requested during planned and unplanned situations to reduce production delays when limited authorised isolators available.
/n /n
- Assist with incident investigations as requested, utilising your expertise to identify improvements, provide recommendations and actions for remediation.
/n
- Shutdown representative and assistance for all permit related matters.
/n
- Assist in Permit Supervisor in training, mentoring and coaching process operators on Permit To Work training and development of complex isolators.

About You

- Driver's License.

- Experience in fixed operating plant or equipment in the mining industry.

- Ability to read and understand P&ID; and engineering drawings to create isolation plans.
/n
- Physical fitness to perform role and meet the physical demands required to respond in emergency or rescue situations.
