About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Allied Health Receptionist to join the team at Rose Park Psychology in Rose Park SA 5067. This is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical administration function.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment whilst managing administrative tasks that support the delivery of quality allied health services. This role is integral to our practice, contributing directly to client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting clients upon arrival and maintaining a professional, friendly reception environment
- Managing appointment scheduling, confirmations and rescheduling across multiple practitioners
- Processing client check-ins and maintaining accurate client records and documentation
- Handling incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Processing payments and managing financial transactions securely and accurately
- Coordinating with allied health practitioners to ensure seamless client flow throughout the day
- Managing waiting areas and ensuring facilities remain clean, organised and welcoming
- Handling administrative correspondence and general office organisation
- Supporting insurance claims processing and verification where applicable
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation and practice protocols

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a medical or allied health reception or administrative role
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanour
- Proficiency with appointment scheduling software and general computer systems




- Knowledge of patient confidentiality requirements and medical administration best practices
- Ability to handle sensitive enquiries with discretion and empathy
- A welcoming and patient-focused approach to client service
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a busy allied health practice
- Desirable: Familiarity with health insurance processes and billing systems
- Desirable: Experience within psychology or mental health services
