Franca Design is a natural stone material supplier with an emphasis on Architecture and Design. Our three locations have allowed us to increase our growing footprint on the East Coast of Australia, we not only supply natural materials to this region but all over Australia.

As part of our continued growth and expansion to three operating showrooms, we are seeking a Warehouse Manager to manage our amazing collection of materials across all showrooms, inventory logistics & all Warehouse Operations.

In a nutshell, this role ranges from unpacking regular containers from all over the Globe, delivering stone slabs to stonemasons & liaising with transport companies regarding the logistics around our client stone deliveries. The candidate will possess a hardworking, solution-oriented, team-centric work ethic who is trustworthy and safety-focused.

ESSENTIAL TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential tasks, duties & responsibilities required by the position outlined in the above include but are not limited to the following:

- Managing the warehouse facilities of all three locations in a safe & organised manner at all times, with immaculate presentation of stone slabs, plants and displays.
- Supporting the sales team around slab movements & client Slab Viewings.
- Leading and supervising warehouse staff (up to one ) to ensure smooth daily workflow and a safe working setting, including a detailed SWMS for all three warehouses
- Regular Unloading of Stone containers




- Management and maintaining an up-to-date extensive Stone Sales register and emailing to all staff daily.
- Physical stocktake of all three locations once a month
- Fortnightly meetings with showroom sales managers around maintaining any specific showroom requirements i.e. samples, showroom presentation needs , sales strategies and logistics requirements.
- Managing all local deliveries , interstate deliveries and pick-ups from Slab Rooms. Managing the Company truck with the intention of allocating certain days we are available to offer this transport service to our clients.
- New tasks are implemented from time to time to accommodate the business activities
- Office reception, answering/directing calls & taking messages, workplace amenities, data entry, customer service.
- Producing & updating of company templates for internal info systems

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A similar role within the Stone industry will be highly regarded; warehouse qualification; or a minimum of two years’ experience within a similar role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will be primarily based in our Brisbane Slab Room however, the need for managing the other showroom locations will be regular.

Approximately forty hours a week, at Franca we believe in a strong sense of work-life balance therefore, all our team members work on a nine-day working fortnight.
