About the opportunity
As the Healthy Ageing Clinical Advisor, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical leadership for the Healthy Ageing services across Footprints, including Support at Home (SaH) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
Reporting to the General Manager Service Operations, this role leads clinical governance across Healthy Ageing services through embedding evidence-based practice frameworks, leading complex case reviews, and applying clinical expertise to client support to ensure protected, restorative, and reablement-focused service mapping.
This role provides clinical supervision for a multi-disciplinary team to deliver services that promote independence and quality of life for older people. Working collaboratively with operational and sector leadership teams, this role supports activities in workforce capability, clinical governance and service excellence whilst aligning practice in accordance with contractual obligations, quality standards and organisational priorities. This role contributes to a culture of continuous quality improvement by leading internal clinical audits, investigating clinical feedback,
and proactively identifying and mitigating clinical risks.
What you will bring:
- Significant experience (minimum of 5 years) in a clinical role within the aged care or community services sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in aged care clinical service delivery, restorative practice models, and robust clinical governance frameworks.
- Proven experience managing clinical risks, complex case triage, and quality auditing across a multiprogram me portfolio.
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, relevant clinical legislation, and sector reform priorities (including Support at Home).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver clinical supervision across multi-disciplinary teams (including Nurses, OTs, and EPs) to achieve quality and safe practice standards.
- Experience building clinical workforce capability and fostering a culture of evidence-based learning and continuous improvement.
- Experience in developing and reviewing clinical policies and procedures (desirable).
- Knowledge of contemporary support models, trauma-informed care, and person-led practice (desirable).
- Experience in client management systems including Alayacare and the My Aged Care Portal (desirable).
Requirements:
- Current Queensland Class C Driver?s Licence and capacity to travel.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card and Blue Card.
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related clinical field.
- Postgraduate qualifications in clinical governance, leadership, or health services management (desirable).
