Two part-time positions (0.8 FTE) opportunitiesavailable until 30 September 2027, one based at ourDandeong site and one based in Footscray
- Dandenong - ability to speak Dari, Pashto, Hazaragi orHindi is highly desirable
Footscray - ability to speak in Vietnamese, Karen,Punjabi or Arabic is highly desirable
- Annual salary is $79,627 + 12% super

About the role:
If successful, you will be under the direction of the SeniorManager Community Development & Social Participation, identifyopportunities to engage community organisations that will progressthe social and economic inclusion of priority groups.
Inpartnership with community organisations identify target groupneeds and implement a range of social, economic, education andtraining activities or capacity building projects to meet theseneeds.
To be considered for this role, you will be able todemonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Degree qualification in community services or socialsciences field; OR Minimum 5 years’ experience in communityservices, social sciences for event/project management (withsome relevant professional development expected)
- Well -developed interpersonal skills with the ability tocommunicate with a wide range of people including CALDcommunities, stakeholders (government, corporates) and to formcommunity partnerships
- Well- developed written communication skills and inparticular ability to write project reports
- Sound knowledge of community development principles andcommunity engagement strategies and demonstrated skills andexperience in engaging community organisations
- Good Project Management skills, including the demonstratedability to organise projects from development toimplementation, completion and evaluation.
- Good Volunteer Management skills, including thedemonstrated ability to operate within the National VolunteerFramework, and effectively recruit, onboard and supervisevolunteers
- Ability to prepare and conduct presentations
- Aptitude to learn current systems both electronic andmanual
- Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
- Excellent time management skills and the ability toprioritise tasks
- Strong working knowledge of and demonstrated commitment toEEO and OH&S; principles and practice
