ABOUT THE ROLE
Every Smartways service contributes to a positive patient outcome. To support our operations, we are seeking an Owner Driver based in Sydney.
This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include:
Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full
Building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and existing)
Working closely with other Smartways team members
Proactively managing the return of loaned medical equipment
Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the wider Smartways network
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You will bring:
Strong knowledge of the Sydney region and ability to determine optimal routes
A reliable work ethic and team-first mindset
Confidence using technology, including phones and basic computer systems
Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail
Explicit written and verbal communication skills
Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (with ad-hoc weekend work available)
WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
2T Van or 4.5T Pantech 6 Pallet capacity (or willingness to acquire one)
A registered Pty Ltd company (or willingness to establish one prior to commencement)
All required insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo, etc.)
A valid and clean driver's licence
Full legal working rights in Australia
Willingness to complete a police check and driver history check
The ability to operate the contracted vehicle yourself (no subcontracting or third-party supply)
