We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing a wide range of materials handling equipment. This role provides a varied workload, combining preventative maintenance, diagnostics, breakdown repairs, and customer support, while offering the opportunity to work independently and develop strong technical expertise.

Responsibilities

- Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance on materials handling equipment and associated machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Complete breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments
- Install, commission and test equipment as required
- Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding operation and maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and parts usage
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to achieve customer and operational objectives
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times

Qualifications & Experience

- Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive, Diesel Fitting or a related field preferred
- Experience servicing and repairing forklifts, access equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery advantageous
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills




- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence
- Forklift licence and other relevant licences/tickets advantageous
