Step into a senior leadership role at one of Brisbane's most iconic waterfront venues — Manly Harbour Boat Club.

We're seeking a polished and experienced Assistant Senior Manager to join our leadership team and help drive performance across a large, multi-outlet venue spanning bars, bistro, gaming, and events.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in high standards, leads with confidence, and understands how to balance exceptional guest experience with strong commercial outcomes.

Situated at Manly Harbour with stunning views of Moreton Bay, this is not a normal club. The club has undergone a multi million-dollar renovation. The venue has become a multi outlet destination venue, consisting of rooftop bar, main bar, beer garden, 300 seat bistro, 30 pokies, and function centre.

We are looking for a hands-on, committed hospitality professional with a keen eye for detail and passion for customer service to join our growing team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee day-to-day operations while lifting performance across the venue.

You'll be visible on the floor, setting the tone for service, leading teams through busy periods, and ensuring consistency across all areas of the business.

As an Assistant Manager you will be a critical part of the venue operations team and be responsible for:

- Lead service standards across bars, bistro, gaming, and functions
- Oversee daily operations, staffing,



and compliance
- Drive consistency, presentation, and efficiency
- Support and develop supervisors and team members
- Maintain a strong leadership presence during busy service periods

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Australian work authorisation is required at time of application.

- At least 2 years' experience in a comparable role
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-outlet venue
- Strong leadership style — calm, professional, and hands-on
- Experienced in all club operations - Gaming (essential), KENO, Reception, Bars, Restaurant
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for hospitality and developing teams

- A minimum of 2 year of gaming experience is required
- RSA, RSG, First Aid and RMLV essential with Approved Managers Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoy working hands on, as well as efficiently when it comes to reporting and paperwork
- Enjoy high volume dynamic venue operations
- Ability to meet and work towards both your own and the venue goals/deadlines
- Someone who has flexibility in working nights and weekends on a rotating roster
- Inspiring engaging and able to provide coaching and mentoring to staff
