We are looking for an experienced and passionate Health & Safety Advisor for a major wind farm construction project located in the Rockhampton, Queensland region.
Reporting to our HSE Senior Manager, you will provide health and safety advice, support and direction to our project delivery team on all HSE related matters.
Key responsibilities:
You will support the Site Manager for all Health & Safety aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures
Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project
Broad WHS skill set including auditing risk management, investigations,
systems implementation and injury management
Ability to manage and communicate risk effectively
SWMS Development and review
HSE Investigations and reporting
Safety interactions, compliance checks
Required skills, competencies and qualities:
You will have a relevant Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety combined with experience on large construction projects
Experience in dealing with peers and project personnel in Health & Safety
Current GWO BST
Construction Induction (White Card)
Strong work ethic with a can do attitude
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders both internally and externally
