Sales & Operations Co-ordinator

About Us & The Role

We are a family-owned personal care & wash manufacturing business based in Sydney and are looking for a proactive, organised Sales & Operations Co-ordinator to become the central point of contact for our contract manufacturing customers. You'll own accounts end to end, from first enquiry and quote through production and on-time delivery, while keeping jobs running smoothly across the factory floor. The role combines customer and commercial work with hands-on operational support across production, inventory, and dispatch to best service our customers.

This is a role for someone who wants ownership, not a task list. If you like seeing projects through, spotting gaps before anyone points it out, and being the reason a project is delivered right and on time, you'll do well here. Part account manager, part operations coordinator, part problem-solver, working directly with the people who develop, cost, produce, and ship what we make.

Reports to the Technical Manager, working closely with the operations and warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & account management

- Act as the primary contact for contract customers across enquiries, quoting, forecasting, order processing, and day-to-day communication
- Manage and grow your accounts with a proactive sales mindset, spotting opportunities to lift order frequency, volume, and product range
- Coordinate recent product development with existing and new customers, keeping them informed at each stage
- Prepare contract customer proposals and costings end to end




- Own each job from order through to on-time delivery, including factory floor presence, dispatch, and job documentation
- Capture and file job details and evidence for quality, compliance, and customer records
- Manage packaging artwork briefs, supplier coordination, sampling, and the approval process

Operations & administration

- Process sales orders, administer systems, and book/coordinate logistics, update forecasts
- Support the team with cycle counts, inventory corrections and job completions (if required).
- Assist warehouse, inventory, and production teams proactively, identifying gaps and actioning them without being asked

Requirements

- At least 1 year experience in account management or a customer-facing sales role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach; you see what needs doing and do it, rather than waiting to be told
- Strong attention to detail; critical for accurate orders, costings, and error-free job execution
- Highly organised, comfortable managing multiple jobs and customers at once without dropping detail
- Confident communicator across customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Comfortable moving between the computer work, customer calls, and the factory floor in the same day
- Confident with ERP, CRM, and office systems (full ERP training provided)
