Operating as part of our Junior School, in 2025 we established a new in-house Outside School Hours Care Service. This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, with time off the floor provided where required to support planning, programming and reflective practice. Days and hours may be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The Educational Leader plays an important role in supporting the development, implementation and ongoing reflection of a high-quality program that is responsive to the needs, interests and voices of school-aged children. Working collaboratively with the OSHC Coordinator, Educators and the broader School community, this role will support curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement across the service.

This position will also provide guidance, mentoring and support to Educators in relation to the implementation of My Time, Our Place Framework, the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, National Law and National Regulations.

The successful candidate will build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and staff, while contributing to a safe, engaging and inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing, learning and development of children in our care.

We are also particularly interested in candidates who are eligible to undertake Responsible Person duties, which requires an approved Bachelor qualification or equivalent.

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Experience in an Educational Leader, Lead Educator or Educator position within an Outside School Hours Care or Vacation Care service,



or strong experience working with school-aged children
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development in a play-based OSHC environment
- Proven ability to foster warm and professional relationships with children, families, Educators and members of our School community
- Sound knowledge of the My Time, Our Place Framework, the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards
- Demonstrated ability to support, mentor and guide Educators in reflective practice, program planning and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, organisation and collaboration skills
- Willingness, where required, to accept the role of Responsible Person under the relevant legislation and regulations
- Hold an approved Diploma or Certificate III in Outside School Hours Care, School Based Education Support, or Early Childhood Education and Care; or
- Be studying an approved qualification in early childhood education and care, behavioural science, community services, creative arts, fine arts, drama or music, nursing, paramedicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, diversional therapy or speech pathology, primary, secondary or special education, sport and recreation, or human welfare studies and services.

As a condition of employment, all non-teaching staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and maintain this for the duration of their employment. In addition, employees must hold current First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
