We have two office locations, one in Newcastle and another in East Maitland; we are seeking two trainee accountants in both offices.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our experienced team of accountants while providing support to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accounting and gain valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with data entry and bookkeeping tasks
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Providing support to our team of accountants
- Learning and understanding tax laws and regulations
- Communicating with clients and other stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
- Completed or undertaking a degree in accounting or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Experience with accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB) is a plus
