The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.

You'll work across a wide range of industrial sites installing, servicing and maintaining weighing equipment while building strong relationships with our customers.

Whether you're an experienced Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Electrician or someone with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, we'd like to hear from you.

Experience with industrial weighing equipment isn't essential—we'll provide the specialist training and support to help you become an expert in this growing industry.

The Role

As a Field Service Technician,



you will be responsible for:

- Installation, maintenance, calibration and servicing of industrial weighing equipment, including weighbridges, scales and on‑board weighing systems
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Producing accurate and timely service reports and documentation
- Building strong customer relationships while meeting agreed service levels and response times
- Servicing and repairing both AWE and competitor equipment where required
- Working closely with our Service, Sales and Projects teams to deliver customer solutions
- Maintaining company tools, vehicle, test equipment and workshop stock
- Participating in the on‑call roster when required
- Ensuring compliance with AWE quality standards and Work Health & Safety (WHS) procedures at all times

What we’re looking for

- Experience in field service, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, automation or a similar technical environment
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Experience servicing, repairing or maintaining industrial, mechanical or electronic equipment
- Mechanically minded with a practical, hands‑on approach
- Good computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office (training provided on internal systems)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills




- Professional presentation and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Willingness to undertake regular regional travel when required
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical if required
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices and complying with WHS requirements

Highly Desirable (but not Essential)

- Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or a related discipline
- Experience with industrial weighing equipment, weighbridges or calibration
- Experience with industrial automation, PLCs or control systems
- Experience working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems
- NMI Licence (6.1–6.4) or willingness to obtain accreditation
