About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated Trainee Fire Technician to join our Commercial Services Division based in Heatherbrae. This full time role will see you working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, supporting our commercial customers across Newcastle and the Hunter Region.

This is an excellent chance to learn a highly sought after trade and build a long term career in the fire protection industry. As a Trainee Fire Technician, you will work alongside experienced professionals while completing your Certificate II in Fire Protection, gaining valuable skills and nationally recognised qualifications.

In this hands on role, you will learn how to inspect, test, service, maintain and install portable fire equipment and small suppression systems.



You will receive practical on the job training and develop an understanding of Australian Standards, compliance requirements and industry best practice.

This position is ideal for someone who is keen to learn a new industry, enjoys hands on work and wants to develop skills that can provide stable, long term career opportunities. With ongoing training and support, you will be given the opportunity to build a career in an essential industry with strong future demand.

- Desirable or willingness to obtain:
- Certificates under the FPAA Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme
- Certificate II in Fire
- Willingness to learn and apply Australian Standards including AS1851
