BCB Welding & Fabrications PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Boilermaker, Sheetmetal, Welder to join our team on a casual basis, Leading to full time for right candidate. This is a hands-on role based in Darra with a large portion of works completed on site, where you will utilise your expertise in welding, boilermaking, and sheetmetal work to deliver high-quality fabrication and assembly solutions. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for precision, durability, and excellence in the trades and services sector. You will work flexibly on a casual basis, allowing for schedule adaptability whilst contributing to the diverse range of projects our company undertakes.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and maintaining welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, stick and oxy-acetylene welding apparatus, to produce strong and precise welds
- Fabricating, assembling and repairing a broad range of equipment.
- Working with Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel & Aluminium.
- Interpreting technical drawings,
- Conducting quality checks and inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Preparing work areas and materials in advance of fabrication and welding tasks
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety protocols
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Installation of a range of mechanical equipment to a variety of sites across the southeast.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

- Q Fever Vaccination or open to having it.
- Proven experience as a boilermaker, sheetmetal worker or welder in an industrial or fabrication environment
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick and oxy-acetylene welding




- Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of boilermaking and sheetmetal fabrication processes
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards relevant to welding and fabrication work
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in quality control and inspection of welded and fabricated components is advantageous
- Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to adapt to casual work arrangements
