ABOUT THE ROLE

The position of Financial Controller is a key leadership role within the Grove and will manage the finance function of the Group. This role needs to be able to lead / develop and direct a functional finance team to ensure management accounts and other financial reports are accurate and provided in a timely manner.

This role needs to be a champion for transformational change, to be able to streamline processes and develop insight so that information is available to management when required to enable commercial decisions based on accurate data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Working with the Finance Director and management team to understand the operations and key drivers of the businesses, and developing measures and reports tracking cost savings, operational statistics, and key performance indicators.

- Prepare and manage accurate and timely management accounting information.

- Responsible for monitoring, managing, and controlling costs where applicable and appropriate.

- Lead / manage daily operations of all Grove financial personnel.

- Facilitate the annual performance review process for all staff.

- Identify training opportunities and ensure technological resources are meeting business requirements.





- Ability to business partner with other departments to get information required to perform finance function.

- Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and the monitoring and assessment of projects.

- Provide accurate, timely, and astute financial analysis.

- Responsible for management of the accounting function, including preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.

- Timely and accurate budget preparation and reporting.

- Design and deliver reporting dashboards. Be a key member of the transformation team

ABOUT YOU

- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting CA/CPA

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller role.

- Prior experience working for a diverse group required.

- Experience in transforming a Finance team and in developing and leading a high-performance team.

- MYOB and Pronto ERP systems, or similar systems essential.

- System implementations

- Ability to be objective and detailed during reporting.

- Strong Technical Accounting knowledge.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Advanced excel skills including financial modelling.

- Excellent time management skills.

- Strong team building skills.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
