Access Metal Recycling is a family-owned Australian recycling company servicing customers throughout NSW and the ACT. We specialise in collecting and recycling scrap metal from farms, industrial facilities, commercial businesses and mining operations.

We're looking for an experienced and self-motivated Collection Unit Operator to take ownership of one of our modern mobile collection units.

This is far more than a truck driving or excavator position. You'll be assigned your own Kenworth K200, towing a float with a 12-tonne CAT excavator, travelling throughout regional NSW and the ACT recovering scrap metal from a wide range of customer sites.

Every day is different. One day you could be working on a rural property, the next at a mine site or industrial facility. You'll enjoy the independence of managing your own day while operating quality equipment and representing Access Metal Recycling with professionalism.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operate your own Kenworth K200 Collection Unit and float.
- Transport and operate a 12-tonne CAT excavator.
- Travel throughout regional NSW and the ACT visiting farms, industrial facilities, mine sites and commercial businesses.
- Recover, load and transport scrap metal safely and efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and maintain your truck and excavator to a high standard.




- Work independently while managing your own Collection Unit safely and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

- Current HC Licence (MC Licence advantageous).
- Experience operating excavators.
- Experience towing floats or trailers.
- Sound understanding of load restraint and safe transport practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Robust work ethic with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to safety and taking pride in your equipment.
